used outboard parts?

i have had an 1986 75 hp motor sitting around for somtime now with a broken crank finally took it apart and looking for a crankshaft for it have tried ebay with no success was wondering if anyone knew any places to try to dig one up. thanks

I don't know of any place around Rochester. I did however do a search on "used outboard motor parts" and it turned up a whole slew of places that sell just about everything.

What kind of motor?

What brand motor is it?

A few years back I was able to get brand new OEM parts for my '85 Suzuki from a dealer. 80's isn't too old, shouldn't be that hard to find what you need.

it is a mercury. i have not tried calling a dealer yet will give that a shot

Enough mercs around that you should still be able to get parts, or worst case there are a lot of boat/motor salvage places around the country that can get you what you need.
