does anyone know if the salmon are biteing at the piers yet

im from buffalo and i was thinking of heading up to charlotte or sommerville pier ?? but wanted to know if its worth comeing out or if i should wait a while yet ???

I don't know why you would drive to Rochester when you have the Niagara in your back yard.Olcott and the Oaks are much closer also.

i have been going ut to rochester for about 4-5 yrs i like it out there i have meet a bunch of nice fisherman up there. plus i have had alot of good luck up there. the niagara gorge sucks. olcott is ok. the oakk is good also. but i dont mind the hour n half drive to rochester when ur fishing with good people. everyone there is friendly i have not talked to anyone that has been ignorant so i dont mind going there. plus i have caught my biggiest salmon in rochester nice 35lbs female last yr off the pier n my son caught his first salmon last yr.

go to the place that works for you man the genny is a very underapreciated fishery i grew up fishing the piers and gorge and miss it greatly now that i live farther away.
