Scraping has started.

I was out in the woods this weekend, trying to get some last minute stand stuff done, and found 4 fresh scrapes.

This paritcular property has got a bunch of bucks on it, yearlings, 2 year olds, and a couple of mature bucks. Found 3 along a hedge row I know they have been traveling.

Anyone else seeing any scraping activity?? Just curious.

Was out yesterday doing some long range scouting. Didnt see any scrapes yet. Lots of turkey scratchings however

have a few bucks head to head going at it on cam from the past 2 days and a few scrapes in the same area just a waiting game now

This young buck has a FOREHEAD full of tree rubbing just days ago. Most camera pics were of bucks in bachelor groups & all had velvet off or like this buck it is coming off. Had lots of deer pics in just last 2 week span on cameras. Not much deer sign yet.

Moved up & around 5 deer stands this past Sunday BEFORE the steady rains of last nite/today came.

That is nice rub. Lucky the tree is still standing, by the looks of it.

I was really surprised to find scrapes this early. Even when working as a land surveyor I can't remember finding scrapes this early. Rubs yes, but not scrapes. I'm thinking it might a clue of what's to come.
