These were some fine examples of trophy gobie!...Mick and I teamed up today and had a tough time convincing the few salmon to bite and only managed a 30 second battle with a trout of some species on a j13 Rapala. Only a few salmon hopping out of the water around us and very clear water.

We tried for perch out in 12 to 20 fow and marked a lot of what appeared to be some perch but found that we had a gobie hotspot (everywhere)...couldn't put the bait down more than 5 seconds and whammo!...huge gobies were off running with our "gulp" minnows!

Now I know MUSKYBOB is licking his chops just at the sight of these tasty critters. We used his technique of dragging the bottom with our bait and caught tons of these little froggy fish! Some are real trophies, but we need a recipe for them. Maybe Adirondack smoked gobie or something. Sorry Bob, you might just loose the coveted goby award to us cause we really slaughtered them today.
