Hi guys, here is how the day went.

We started out at 7:00 AM Saturday morning with 44 musky hunters. Right at the start Toad pulled a KING out of Waneta? It was a mount from the river, the guys were out to have a good time. Temp was in the high teens with a fog and or mist on the lake that burned off around 8:30. Dean F. set the bar with a 37+" fish to start at 8:26. The next one was Chad L. & Joe D. at 8:37. Then Jeff got into one at 8:49. At 8:53 Al W. got one, we got out picture and measurement and watched the fish swim off. Toothy (AKA Jim Reynolds) and I got the call on the radio and we were off. Bill H., John B., & Erick pulled this one in at 9:03. At 9:28 Rick and the guys in Doug's boat got a little guy with lots of fight. Jeff pulled a nice fat one out at 9:33, after the picture we watched it swim away. At 9:36 Mike G. called us over to measure one, Toothy got the length and the fish was off. We had a flag go up at 10:05 in the north east corner and we were there to get the length and a picture. Toothy and I got a break for a hour and 15 minutes and Chad L. and Joe D. were calling again, at 11:20. We ran down and got the picture and started away. 11:28 Doug and the guys gave out a call, we measured, took our picture, and watched the fish swim off. At 12:19 PM Ken and Chuck got into one. At 1:07 Chad called and Joe D. got a fatty casting, we were driving away and they called us back for another at 1:26 that Chad's brother; Todd got. Bill and the guys called us again and we measured their fish and Toothy got in the picture with them at 1:52. Zack B. pulled one out that went 39-1/4" at 1:58. Ken and Chuck got another at 2:16. Then it was Doug and the guys with one at 2:22. We had a break in the action (small one) and Cowboy (AKA Rick S.) got one at 3:00. Toothy and I watch Doug and the guys loose one at 3:10. At 3:15 Mike pulled it off with big fish of the day 44-3/4". Then as I was counting down the seconds a flag went up and Brad P. got a nice 41+" at the same spot that Mike had just hooked the 44+". What a day!! We boated 21 muskys and all of them swam away to fight again. I called the tournament at 3:30 PM and all were invited to the camp for food and drink. We handed out the 1st, 2nd, & 3rd prizes. Toothy set up a raffle table and a 50/50, and we got a group picture. The guys stayed for awhile and told about the ones that got off, by my count it was 7 or 8. That is a good day to have that many muskys hit. I tried to get pictures of all the boats, I know that I missed 2 or 3.

Good fishing to all,

Captain Ed

We want to thank all the guys that showed up and all the people that gave to the raffle table, if you send me your info I will add it to the page.

I have posted all the pictures on my web site, if any one wants some of them give me an e-mail. Here is a picture of the winning fish from Chautauqua Tournament. Jim's 1st musky.
