Just wondering if anyone has been fishing the shoreline at Olcott for browns. Also, I've seen a report that steelhead, browns, and immature kings are out about 100' - 170'. Can anyone confirm this?

I cant confirm Olcott, but I will tell you I trolled October 26th off Bear Creek (half way between I-Bay and Sodus Bay essentially) and worked water from 8fow along the shore, out to 110 fow. I found a 'normal' May kind of fishing climate....55degrees on top and fish holding in that 40-70 foot down. I found a couple small bait pods and found the 70-90fow of water held some browns in that 60foot range. I only went 1 for 2, once I found them.....didnt play around too much with lures, but ran 1 diver, SD/Fly, along with two riggers, one pulling a stinger NBK and the other pulling a Fire Tiger Evil Eye. The diver took a rip (might have been a laker, as I was keeping it as close to bottom as I could) and the NBK took a small brown. But the screen was alot more active than I thought it might be. Speed was normal 2.3-2.5 SOG.
