Sold the old boat and now it is time to start thinking about how to rig a new one. I really like everything I read about cannons digi troll 10's. Your input would be appreciated. Thanks

The ugly was addressed after year 1. That involved bad pulleys and water under the keypads. Both issues have been fixed. We run the black models, while Cold Steel, Thrillseeker, and Billy V ran the tournament series over the last two seasons. In the beginning most problems involved the tournament series.

Cannon has been great to work with and all four teams can vouch for that.

If they could have gotten the probe to work these riggers would have been unreal! Having that data right on the downrigger was SOOOOOO nice. The depth pre-sets are one of the best features on this rigger. We use them every day. Set a rod and walk away to set another. Jigging your baits has proven effective sometimes, but if you think it will load the boat your smokin trees. Bottom track works very well. We have the CannonLink so on our Humminbird we can see where the riggers are at, which is a nice feature, but you can usually mark your cannon balls to see where your at anyway. The extendable booms are nice too. If you want to use braided line you wont lose your short stop, which is a nice feature.

I am thinking about getting the new digi trolls. What is the difference between the digitroll 5 & 10?

When you go from the 10 to the 5 you lose the depth pre sets, and the ability to see your actual depth on the rigger if your using the cannonlink. There was more like displaying probe data, but that's gone now. There may be a few other differences, but those come to mind.
