I havent had much luck with deer. Got a small six point with the bow, and nada with the gun so far. But what i have noticed are lots of ticks. Almost every trip in the woods has resulted in ticks on me. Just yesterday i pulled three of me. Luckily, none have bitten me. It does creep me out though, i spent the rest of the day feeling crap crawling on me.....

What county are you in? Near a lake?

I'm in Tompkins County. The highest lyme disease rate in the state (by far). The ticks are worst along the lake edges (but they are spreading). Last fall I took the kids anddog for a walk through the woods. Everyone had at least 12-15 ticks by the time we returned. (tore our clothes off at the door and jumped in the shower). There are areas that we do not deer hunt until it freezes. Our dog has had lyme twice now - just sucks.
