favorite lures for brown trout

Thought i would start this post as many of us begin to get things ready for spring. I plan on doing some shoping for lures so i thought this is the best way to compare notes before buying lures. what are your favorite stick baits, spoons and color patterns for brown trout? thanks for any input you may have.

Thundersticks, smithwicks, rapalas. They all work in the right conditions. Natural colors are pretty consistsnt. Jointed seems to out produce on some days.

Thundersticks all the way, Anything chart. green. Red hot tiger Jointed was our hot one on Lake O. Last spring.

JTD Rebels 3 1/2 & 4 1/2" I have A green top orange belly silver sided one I colored the sides w/ a chartruce marker I bet I hooked 100 fish at least on. Changed hooks -split rings more than once. The 5 1/2 " ones have their days also for dirty water .

#11 jointed Rapalas, Smithwicks, Jr. T/sticks, and Suttons off the riggers.

Those Browns cooperate pretty good.

Just started fishing spring browns a couple years ago in the 16 ft tinner. Just about any stick bait will work. Natural patterns work in most conditions except if your in really dirty water brights have their days.

A spoon or two in the mix is a good idea. I have a couple clamp on downriggers and spoons did not catch as many fish as sticks but did take some of the bigger fish.

The old Michigan Stingers they don't make them anymore but you can find them in some tackle shops they have a weird bend to them that makes the browns go crazy. Blue and white like this.

I would throw all of my tackle out and use Brown Trout Jointed Rapala J-9 size. I have at least a half dozen on my boat at all times.
