Sodus Bay To The St Lawrence River Along Lake Ontario-

Rest Of Today South winds 20 to 25 knots becoming southwest. Cloudy. Waves 4 to 6 feet. Tonight South winds 15 to 25 knots becoming southwest and increasing to 35 knot gales overnight. A chance of snow showers in the evening...then snow showers overnight. Waves 3 to 5 feet building to 9 to 12 feet. Sunday West gales to 40 knots diminishing to 30 knots in the afternoon. Snow showers likely in the morning...then a chance of snow showers in the afternoon. Waves 13 to 17 feet. Sunday Night Northwest winds 15 to 25 knots becoming north and diminishing to 5 to 10 knots overnight. Snow showers likely. Waves 9 to 12 feet subsiding to 3 to 5 feet. Darn!...no chance for ice fishing again! Wonder what it would be like walking out to fish if the lake froze with 17 foot ice caps :thinking:

This is a shot of the big O taken from just east of East Bay looking toward Port Bay and Oswego. The waves were the predicted be 13 to 17 footers. (They were definitely 9 to 13s.)

Just imagine- in less than three months, you will be out-and-about-in-a-boat on that water!

I'd suggest anyone thinking about going out take along a couple extra sets of underwear (and not for just the cold weather) :lol:

You can probably get a good price on the ones that got blown off their dry dock stanchions in Oswego :lol:
