How early can I get out????

Been fishing Canandaigua for a couple of years on a pontoon with an outboard and completly love trolling. Just bought a boat to get on lake O with and it has an i/o. What do guys do for early fishing with i/o's with threat of freezing nights here and there??? Do u have to pull all of the plugs until chance of freeze is gone???? Cant wait to get out there!!!!!

i'm usually out there first wknd that i can launch in mexico point

i trailer my boat so i pull the drain plugs first few trips

some guys just put a light bulb in engine compartment

Ok. Ill prob do the same. Pull plugs isnt too hard. Just have to make sure i dont get butter fingers and drop em. . Txs for the reply.

You could always throw some heavy fishing line around them and tie them to a plug wire or something so you can always it out.

Hey, good idea Chas - I think I'll do just that - tie something around em' so I can't drop or lose them. Good idea.
