Going to buy something for down temp, just wondering instead of buying the Fish Hawk TD system, should I buy the X4D system? The X4D is high priced, but if you tell me it's worth spending the extra now, I will, or will I be happy with the TD. Thanks for any advice you can give.

I have the TD and it works great for its purpose, but like Mark said the X4D is contiouous.  If you have the option go with the X4D.  When I can I will get an X4D or something similar.  The TD is great for figuring out where your dipsys are actually running at a given speed and setting though!

I use the TD for wire diver rod depth calibration, & run an X4 while trolling all the time, so both of them for me.

The best places to catch fish is on the "edges" and these edges are not always on the bottom. It is where under water currents meet and speed and temperature change all the time. A TD will never tell you where that happens, an X4 always will.
