Well, finally recieved the video from the boys at Team Adirondack.  Got most of the fish on video but these guys are not used to even the small waves so their  fishing was cut a little short, but as you can see, they caught some very nice Salmon.

1st King of the day was 28 lbs plus, and another just under 32 lbs

Thanks for watching

Captain Dave

Thanks for posting as the move by the netter to lift the fish to the surface could be the tip of the year!  Great idea.

Thanks Gill, that move works most of the time, have to be carefull not to get the flasher or ballbearing caught in the netting, or you'll be reaching for another net, LOL  Also, notice moving most of the rods to one side, leaves lots of room on other side to net, especialy with a hot fish...

Thanks

Hard to teach people not to rush a fish towards the boat before they are tired and on top of the water increasing the chances of a wrap around a rigger.  I always set the drag light on the initial run to get fish way out and tired to avoid trouble at the transom during netting.

Great film Dave...way to start off the 2013 season.

Our season out west just started on 4-6 south of Horse Mountain, but with 10-20-knot winds and gust to 30 knots and the waves 12 feet at 13 seconds kept everyone ashore last weekend except for the largest of the charter boats. Those Captains out of Shelter cove picked up limits for their clients. Predictions for the 2013 season on the west coast is real good , lots of 4 & 5 years old's returning to the rivers. There will be some monsters hooked up this year........
