Daiwa parts?

I lost half my drag during the Sandy Creek Shootout last season on one of my wire setups. The reel is a Daiwa SG47LCA Sealine. Any idea where i can get parts for this??

Captain's Cove had parts for mine last year and they also repaired back then.

Just call Diawa. The # is on the website. I called them a couple weeks ago for a part for my sealine-they were super easy to deal with and I had the part in my hand in a few days. They even sent it to me free of charge and my reel is no longer under warranty.

get the carbon fiber drag upgrade and power handle combo.  I replaced the drags on both my 14 year old SG47LCA's a year or two ago and it is a piece of cake.  I really wanted the power handles, and the washer sets came free with the handles.

We never had to do anything more than a clicker in our 47LC's, but the guy Tim is talking about is the man! He makes some sweet drags! Get your reel parts from him now, because last season he went off the grid for a few months due to the fact he had too much work. The handle on that reel was my only gripe too. If they make a power handle I'd say it's worth the upgrade if a free drag is included.

Wanted a spare spinning reel spool for a steelhead reel that didnt come with one.  Called Tuna's and had one ordered in no time.

They are great to work with. Have a few reels with up graded drags on our boat and we love them.

I just rebuilt all my sealines last week with the Dragmaster carbon fiber drags that Tim is talking about.  It is easy, and if you go to www.alantani.com/ there is some info there on the sealines.

 

There is a trick to getting the guts of the thing back together, but it's very east.

I am an Idiot! Didnt realy remember what was wrong with it and decided to take it apart after i posted this, but it is not the drag that is broke it is the clicker that whent!!   Spot on Yankee!! Brian do you happen to have one of those layin around??

Yes I do.  I only have a couple 47lcs left and they are getting upgraded in 2 weeks.  I will no longer need the parts so they are yours if you want them.

If you folks need Daiwa parts and can't find them I've had great luck with the folks at Causeway Bait and Tackle on Long Island at http://www.causewaybaitandtackle.com/default.aspx As I remember the guy to speak with is Tom. They do reel repair there as well. They shipped parts to me next day without any problem.

Captain's Cove stocks many Daiwa reel parts.  We also have the Dragmaster carbon fiber washer sets for not only Diawa, but also for Shimano and Okuma reels. (We order them from Tuna's).  Although the shop does not open until late March, we can open by appointment or I can mail parts/washers to you.  Let us know if we can help.
