Spring is coming...

[Storm Warning II]

March 2nd: a dozen and a half pintails (mostly bulls) spotted at Pymatuning Waterfowl Management area here in NW PA along with a handfull of green wing teal...headed north for the breeding season.

 

March 4th: first buzzards just spotted outside the shop, about 2 weeks early...

 

Here she comes...or Mother Nature is still on 2012 schedule...

Hawks are all over the 90 thruway the last few weeks which is typical timing for their migration north.  I don't anticipate an early spring.  I will hold to my traditional time of the full moon at the end of March before I start thinking about fishing the piers or shoreline trolling.

Had a couple groups of Pintails come into our goose spread Friday in the southern tier .
