Boom removal

Boom days in Buffalo is scheduled for April 6th so the boom should be removed maybe on the 5th?  Legally, there is so little ice they could remove it now.  Drifters keep an eye out for date of removal as it will be early again this year.

Funny you mentioned that, I was just checking webcams to see how much Ice is out there. Sooner the better, there's a few jumbos out there with my name on them!

Anyone know where they archive a history of Lake Erie temps for past years?

Early ice melts on LE means good salmon fishing along the entire southern shore in April/ May.

Buffalo Creek is running all chocolate and the lower river should have high turbidity  from it.

It never was a river, just a lot of dredging made it into river size.
