Can you catch Brown Trout on shore right now with spinners and stick baits? I planned on going up this weekend to camp on North pond and wanted to go fishing. Never fished this early and was wondering if anybody had any tips or any help at all. Probably walk the shore off of Selkirk or Mexico. Please, anybody. Just itchin to go fishin!

Yes you can!  Try the cement pier at Selkirk.  Cast Cleo's and some other spoons.

selkirk pier still covered in pack ice as of tuesday afternoon.....maybe the breakwall in oswego

Is there any creek mouths around there? What about Mexico point?

yea most creeks blew open this week.....lil salmon is open and launchable.....sposed to be 30 mph west winds on thurs...maybe that will clear the pier at selkirk....but it sposed to be cold again this wknd so no big hopes for getting boat out
