I just heard from the Elmira director.The Derby is not going to happen this year and most likely done for good....Zeke and Cyn

Nope but have read some posts on here in the past year that there is talk of the Salvation Army starting a derby similar but haven't heard anything more lately. .. So I guess we will have to wait and see....Would love to see one...

The decision was not made locally.I was told it was solely economics but it is done... Zeke & Cyn

The Red Cross may be done but a few of us are putting something together

for the 4th of july weekend that will involve Seneca and Cayuga Lakes for a start. More info to follow once we get some things ironed out.

The Salvation Army is going to continue the derby they brought back last year. They are looking at the second week of July. Prizes should be similar to last year. More details in the next couple of weeks. Ron Seacord ran the derby last year and he returns from Florida soon to get things started.
