light action rods

What are your opinions on light action rods for browns and the finger lakes in general? Thanks in advance

We run a special set of 7 1/2' ML Okuma Blue Diamond rods just for April Browns and Coho. Not only are they a blast to fight fish on, the super light tips spare a few lightly hooked fish from being dropped.

Jeff what blanks are you tying those up on?

We have used the Dawia Accudepth ADDR802ML rods. Decent stick for the money. Fit and finish sin't the greatest. Currently we are using 9' ML Shimano Clarus rods. They are pretty nice, and fit and finish is great. However, being a Dawia guy I am looking at the new line of rods out called the DXS Salmon and Steelhead series. Specifically the model number DXS902MLFB. Landshark just bought these, and I am waiting to hear his review on them.

8'3" Ugly stick light action downrigger rods.

 

Tough and the action is just right for Browns, Steelies, Cohos and will hold up to the occasional, accidental King taken while Brown fishing.
