Went out this afternoon and caught 5 browns and 1 laker all on thundersticks.  Never caught a laker at this time of the year.  Is it because the water temps are around 37-38 degrees?

Last year around this same time we got a few lakers off Ibay in 40 ft of water and a few decent kings. If I remember correctly the surface water temp was around 40 degrees. So i would guess it is the colder water that brings them in shallower.

Are the docks in at the launch?

Bigt gobies coming back inshore is the reason the lakers showed up.  All winter long, we do not see big gobies in the intake at work.  Once March / April gets here, they show up again.

I agree Brian, but all the Lakers I cleaned this weekend were just about empty. The Brown Trout on the other hand were loaded with them. Tons of 3" gobies and a few 6-7" gobies in every ones stomach. The Lakers were loaded just East of I-Bay yesterday so thick we went through and did a quad, Sure Strike did a triple, and Goater did two on our first pass. All one after another in parade mode.
