Fished from 8:30 to 1:30. 12/14. 11 Browns 1 Laker. Fished in the muddy edge of the color break. 15-20 FOW. Anyhting that mimicked a goby with a orange stripe in it. Smithwicks and challengers on boards. Small thundersticks on riggers. Spoons on lead core. No Real Big Sloppy Browns yet. Probably 8# took the title. Did get into an 11# Laker on a flatlined stick off the board. We started off heading west out of Mexico Point launch real slow...turned around got back to the launch and then as we went East rods started to pop.

It was breezy until about 9 or 9:30 which is why we started late. but the lake knocked right down to pretty much nothing by 10 or shortly there after. 1 footers maybe. I use LOOFS for wind forecast. I am sure most people do to. It was pretty accurate yesterday. If you've never heard of it just google "Loofs" and click the surface wind forecast. It projects out a couple of days and is usually pretty accurate. We only have a small open bow Fishmaster so we have to watch that pretty closely when the arrows are green out of the West, that's about as much as we want to tangle with. It isn't a lot of fun at that speed but Fishable. I believe that is winds from 10-15 knots. But it is helpful.
