Does anyone troll with Blade runner spoons?

Yes. I pull copper handline with them on Seneca

Any comments as to quality/durability?    I was thinking of using their #44 as a substitute for the nonexistant Sutton 44.

the ones I use are a pflueger 4 replica. they are great. Never used his flutter spoons

The Plasma 44  is an imitation of the Sutton 44. You can see pics and get descriptions (as well as buy them) on fish307.com.

Brother just bought a bunch, He hasn't used them yet, If anybody can catch fish with them, he'd be the one, I looked at them, They look and feel like suttons to me.

Interesting and good to know that there are two sources of Sutton Spoon clones!   

 

The Plazma in the pictures  look a bit cheezy compared to the Sutton and the pictures of the Blade Runner spoons are a bit fuzzy.    The big difference I see with the Sutton is the solid ring vs the split rings on the others.

 

I think I will try the  Blade Runner 44 and see what they are like.

If someone showed you a blade runner you wouldn't know the difference between that and a Sutton, Besides the Sutton name on the spoon.

If you start getting big ones with them let me know....I'll scratch off the Sutton names on my spoons so the fish won't be able to read them

If only Sutton actually stocked the #44!   Was told by one of their dealers that they just don't care but won't sell the business.  Go figure......

If you can't get the 44's find some 22's they work just as well...

I would guess that a 22 would work half as well as a 44       Given the price difference and availability issues probably go with Bladerunner
