PEN STEELHEAD ARE COMING TUESDAY APRIL 23RD AT 1:00 PM

THE 3,500 STEELHEAD FOR OUR PENS IN OLCOTT WILL ARRIVE AT
1:00 PM ON TUESDAY

WE CAN USE ALL THE HELP WE CAN GET.

WE STILL HAVE NO WORD ON WHEN THE SALMON WILL ARRIVE

THANKS TO ALL THAT HELPED LAUNCH THE PENS SATURDAY APRIL 6TH !
HOPE EVERYONE ENJOYED THEMSELVES.

FEEDING WILL START AT 4:00 PM TUESDAY THE 23RD AND CONTINUE FOR APPROXIMATELY THREE WEEKS. PLEASE SIGN UP TO HELP.
BRING THE YOUNG ONES ALONG AND ADD TO YOUR FUN. REMEMBER THE PENS HAVE BEEN RELOCATED, THEY ARE NOW AT THE END OF THE LONG (LEFT) BOAT LAUNCH DOCK AT THE MARINA.

PLEASE, ALL YOUTH MUST WEAR LIFE JACKETS WHEN ON THE DOCKS OR AROUND THE PEN AREA !!!!

I activated it this evening so It is active now.  Please sign up to feed.

 

Also if you can be at the Newfane Marina on the 23rd to help get the babies into their crib, that would be greatly appreciated

Hey everyone,

 

As of this last Thursday, we've had just 1 person sign up to feed the fish in the pens in Olcott (thank you). Please consider signing up, this is your fishery and these are some of the fish you will be catching over the next three years.

 

If you haven't signed up because you worry you won't know what to do, don't worry it's really easy to do; the Town of Newfane marina staff will answer any of your questions when you arrive and check in with them. This would be a great opportunity to take the kids/grandkids on a fun "field trip".

 

We really need some help with this if we're going to continue to do this in the future...

Our 3,500 Steelhead were delivered last tuesday the 23rd, our 67,100 kings are being delivered tomorrow (30th)  if you are in Niagara county or maybe in Olcott/Wilson for the LOC, please consider signing up to feed the fish, 

 

They need to be fed 5 times every day 7:00 am, 10:00 am, 1:00 pm, 4:00 pm and 7:00pm  for the duration of the time they are in the pens (approx 3 weeks if water temps in the harbor allow) and it is a GREAT thing to bring the kids to.
