Hi everyone,

Just thought I'd drop a quick line to say hello.  I moved to Ottawa two years ago from British Columbia and am looking forward to getting into Trout and Salmon again!  I've never fished the Great Lakes before, but I have fished many larger lakes in BC for Lake Trout and Rainbows, so I'm anxious to see if some of my western techniques will work out here.

I'll be fishing from a 16 foot Alumacraft Competitor tiller and I know I'll have to pick my days and be aware of the weather.  I'll do a search to see if there are any posts about more sheltered areas to fish (or at least spots that are closer inland), but if you have any thoughts, please feel free to pass them along.  The big lakes back in BC got pretty ugly at times, but I'm sure the Big O is a different beast altogether.

Anyway, glad to be here and I'm looking forward to learning a thing or two about the fishery out here!
