Big John planner board reels

Hi I'm new to this site and I'm learning so much just from reading all your great posts,I have a question that I haven't seen to much talk about here goes.... I was thinking about using these reels on my new boat,A 195 cc Triumph, It has a t-top and i thought it would be nice and out of the way.

If any one has any experience with these reels or any suggestions that would be very much appreciated...Thanks for your time

Ive been running them for a few years and have had no problems with them. Have them mounted to a canvas support rod.

Thanks for the reply do you need to add a spring and or pulley? canvas support rod?

They have an eyelet on them and thats all I use. You can use a pully and spring, but you don't need one. Have not broken the planner line, but is more likely without the spring and pully. The rod is a support for the canopy.

Thanks again I didn't know if that eyelet would bend with board pressure...
