Gobies and the canal

I caught 3 browns and two gobies fishing Oatka Creek down in Scottsville today.  I figured the gobies have spread because of the canal.  Have they made it to Seneca Lake or Oneida Lake yet?  Will this play out the same way with the Asian carp?

Sure hope not but then again whats another foreign invader when things are already screwed up?

Sadly - yes.  I noticed gobies in the upper Genesee River above the canal a couple of years ago.   Any body of water that has access to Lake Erie or Ontario via creeks or canals is screwed.

Oneida first...  Then Cayuga...  Then eventually Seneca.  The only thing constant is change.  Get ready for some.
