We had a tick better luck on the north shore but not much better.

We boated 4 keepers, and a short, on Sunday, as Saturday was another work day this time of year for me.

We trolled crawlers/bouncers, at first, and fought off the silvers, but found that #5's and #7 Rapalas(Hot Steel) off the riggers were more what they were looking for, as we kept seeing semi-suspended fish, and trust me, we earned the fish we did catch.

Radio chatter had some of the folks with very good luck running leadcore, with sticks and spoons.

Fish that cooperated for us were deep, and up off the bottom about 4-6 feet, with tons of bait, and tons of marks.

Weather is going to turn(less boat traffic too) this weekend, and should help spark a better bite.

One thing that struck us when we pulling into the marina launch was the lack of fisherman.

When we got back on the trailer, about 1 pm, there were many more truck/trailer rigs, but no where near the amount as there has always been in years past.
