Hi all,

Got on the water before sunrise to see if we could find any browns near shore. I picked up one 6.3 pound brown off an inline planer, and that was about it.

I read the reports before going out, and noticed it seemed very random. I knew I was going to work my way out once the sun came up, but I did not expect to be all alone out there. The boats flew out in every direction of the compass and out to near the shipping lanes.

I fished out to about 110', and found marks in the top 20', and on the bottom. I set sticks and spoons from the surface all the way down, but nothing doing. Water was about 44 degrees at the surface everywhere, and nearly 40' of visibility to the bottom. I did manage to find one pocket of 48 degree water with some color north of Bear Creek, and there was not a single mark in it.

Not sure what to do this weekend. Maybe I will turkey hunt instead.
