Ideal Spring Brown Setup

What would you use for an ideal Spring Brown setup for Lake O? I.e. rod length, action and reel..What lb mono?

8'-6" med/lt Diawa heartland rod with a 27 LC's 15ib trilene XT with 8ib fluorocarbon leader my buddy uses ugly stik's they have great action wouldn't want to catch a king or atlantic on um

I have Cabela's depth masters in 8' Medium action with magda 30s spooled with 20lb. Power Pro and tipped with 4' of 12lb or 15lb Seaguar Fluoro.  These also double as my walleye rods.

that is kinda what I was thinking. I will probably just go with the depthmaster rod and reels for spring browns. already have 2 of them setup on lead line for walleyes. will get 2 more for mono. can always remove the lead off one..also have 2 decent spinning reel combs
