The jumpy part is tough.  I use the 0-50 digital berkley scale and it seems accurate.  It will always be off a little from the tournament scales.

Had a Manley spring scale for years.

Durable?

Shy of using it for a hammer, it won't let you down.

I have the 50 lb berkley digital scale also, and over the years it has consistently been within a couple ounces of certified derby scales.

The Berkley 50 seems to be OK for trout season(warm) but will not stand the riggors of Perch season(freakin freezin) even with fresh batteries.

Guess I'll stick with my old brass spring loaded one from 30 years ago (no name on it) it has been within 1/2 of an ounce of the derby scale multiple times.....my digital Berkeley "sticks" and fails to release so I gave up on it...

Chatillon scale bullet proof construction. No batteries to fail and comes IGFA certified.

Tried all the electronic digital versions and every one crapped out over time. Was also quite happy with the built in scale on the Boga grip. Unfortunately it bottoms out at 30 lbs so isn't much good for derby fish. Chatillon has a model that goes up to 50 lbs. model number is IN-050. Measures from 0 to 50 lbs in 8oz increments. Very happy with it so far.

out of the cheaper digital scales, the best i have used so far is the matzou from crappy tire, accurate, doesnt bounce nearly as much as the berkley, and this is year 3 now with it
