Fished with my buddy Mike and my brother Kevin, from 6 AM til 10:30. Today was a great day and a day to fish deeper presentations. All action waas on 600' copper and our riggers. We couldn't buy a hit on the Dipsy's, short lead cores and a surface rod with a 1 1/4 ounce keel sinker. All fish were chinook and lakers (no coho salmon, BT or steelies today)

We focused on the 100-120 fow area, mainly east of the I-Bay channel. After about seven hits and a slight lull in the action, we slid out to 290 fow only to find barren water and continued no action. When we fished back into the 100' area, we hit about 5 or 6 more.

We finished the day with about 12 fish that hit the deck, with a few other knock offs in between. The cotton catching on the lines was tough, especially on the damn Planer board tow line.

We fished two riggers 90'-120' both with free sliders, along with two coppers (400' and 600'), two wire divers, various short lead cores and a surface line. As mentioned above, only the deep riggers and deep copper caught fish, and it was only a spoon bite.

The following spoons all caught fish: NK 42 sec (110' rigger), Moonshine Carbon 14 Mag (600' copper), DW SS Midnight special (90-120' rigger), DW SS UV Jager Bomb, DW Regular SSW (120' rigger), DW SS Alewive with white back, DW SS Wonder bread (later in day on 100' rigger). The MVP spoon was the 42 second.

The highlight of the day was a 24 pound 2 ounce chinook which managed to tangle the wire diver, second rigger and surface line, but we still landed it (Go-Pro video to come later).

Good luck to all- be safe on the big pond,

- Chris

Here's my first attempt at creating/editing a Go-Pro video. Sorry if it's boring, but at least you can enjoy the music.

Sounds like a very nice day indeed. All those comments about cotton  makes it sound like the other "cotton" (fleas) is a picnic.

Awesome report and job. Funny how 10 miles east of you, where I was, was a totally different bite. Pretty much all divers.....and one rigger. Ya need to see the laker we got! :) Almost beat the king of yours. What a great fish....wish I could have found a couple kings! jay

Nice job! That cotton made me almost toss a rod in the water today. I've never seen it that bad. It made fleas at their worst seem like no problem at all!

Thanks again guys for all the kind words - be safe out there!

Reelintense (awesome name BTW) - it's very fascinating that you had a much different bite (i.e. divers) than us. I wonder if it is speed related or the rest of my spread changed things? Nonetheless, it was a day of deep presentation for us.

I also added a video link above

Be safe and good luck to all,

Great day, Chris. Nice job.

Saturday was tough for me, fished between Russell and Braddocks and had a lot of cold water. Lost one ripper and did 6 dinks. All rigger bite, mostly on purple down 50. Maybe I should have fished deeper in the column. Been having fishfinder problems and think it is time to address that.

Thanks for the neat video.
