King of The Oak Tournament Series

Starting with this Friday's Condor event we are bringing back the popular 3 fish tournaments. There will be 5 tournaments in all, and it will be called the King of the Oak Series. The other tournament days will be Saturday July 13, Saturday July 20, Saturday August 17 and the Series finale will be the Annual Johnny V Tournament on Sunday September 1. The rules are the same for all---sign up at Lake Breeze, Four C's, Captains Cove or Narby's with $100 cash ONLY, and then bring your best 3 fish to the weigh station at Lake Breeze by 3 PM. Payouts will be 30% of the field. After the final weigh in for the Johnny V we will have a picnic at the Lake breeze pavilion. Please bring a dish to pass. At this picnic we will also crown the 2013 KING OF THE OAK based on a cumulative score from all 5 events.

Ok I just talk to the yankee and he says it wouldn't be king of the oak then , its all good we got the sandy creek shot out anyways , I mite motor down too the oak for a few.

Carl - I think it means if 10 boats fish we will pay the top 3. If 30 fish we will pay 9 spots.

They are being compiled right now. I should be able to post something in the next day or so.

Don't forget the third leg of the King of the Oak Series is THIS SATURDAY.

Right now we will use the Small Craft Advisory Rule that the proams have. If there is a small craft advisory posted at 7 AM the tourney will be cancelled unless the advisory is set to expire. We could certainly use Sunday as a blow day if that is what everyone wants. Post here if you want Sunday as a "blow day".

We failed to meet our 10 boat minimum today so we are going to hold the tournament tomorrow. Hopefully the weather will be more cooperative too.

If anyone entered today and cannot fish tomorrow their money will be refunded.
