Lake Ontario Perch -Oswego-

Have you dropped shiners/minnows around 40-50-fow outside oswego w/ any luck?  I have been catching a few 12"+ in the river on worms while walleye fishing, but I have never heard of any reports of big perch being caught out of Oswego.  Just wondering before I go out and buy a couple dozen minnows.

I tried a few years back, went outside the harbor, hit some humps just east and went to ford shoals west and never found anything but gobies and bass.  Not saying that they are not there but I have never found them.  Found it was just easier to trailer somewhere that I know they are.
