Burlington/Hamilton fishing strategies

I am new to the lake Ontario fishing scene. Anyone out there have any helpful tips for fishing in the Burlington/Hamilton area? Any and all fish tips welcome.

Buy a fish hawk TD temp probe, worth every penny for around 120 bucks. As soon as you get out fishing, send your probe down and set your lines accordingly!
