Sitex autopilot question

Hi,

I have a 26 ft. searay that Im planning on putting a autopilot on it. Sitex has a unit that attachs to the mechanical steering on the mercruser,p110

Any of you had experience with sitx autopilot would be welcome

I also put a auxilary 9.9 outboard on it. I adapted a aluminum plate so I could get to run deep enough to work.I took it and it trolls good with the wind.

I have a similar setup on my Searay. I have the Octopus drive to move the power assisted cable steering system. I am assuming that this is going to be installed on an I/O setup. Your main motor will be turned off while your kicker motor is running, you may have an issue moving your kicker since the octopus drive moves the I/O lower. With the main engine shut off the power assisted steering pump will not be on. Therefore, there is a lot of stress on the Octopus unit to move your main drive and kicker.
