That was a good question I had to pull one off the shelf to look. It is still there, it is a composite material I do believe same as the body. Personally I like the saltist reels they are so worth the money. But being a tackle shop owner I can tell you that if these are the reels what you want they have an amazing price on them. You probably won't find a better deal.

That is a good deal, no doubt. I'd like to have a Saltist. seems like they are hard to find these days.
