For the past few weeks every time we go fishing we find huge schools of bait, but hardly any salmon at all and even the brown trout in Mexico Bay seems to be a rare species.Only the lakers seem to be willing takers.

Does anybody have an idea or theory or opinion about this dismal fishing these past few weeks and when if at all it should get better?

Work the bait! Where there is bait there is salmon! Bait is just starting to show up in spots on the North Shore! Can't wait to get back out after a tough weekend bite at Tightlines in Toronto!

Best of luck!

They haven't moved west yet. Once the lake sets up, it will be on. A week or two I would say. North shore is completely different. The brown bite has sucked on the east side of the lake this year. But on e the salmon move this way and it sets up, it's on.
