Planer Board Releases

[Big Water]

I'm running Amish Outfitter releases on my Otter Boat boards with rubber bands connected to the fishing line.   The problem I'm having is getting the rubber bands to break when I get a fish less than 10-12lbs on them.   I'm using small rubber bands (actually need to double bands on some coppers), but I'm eventually going to get into a problem when the outer lines won't release and I pull them into a closer planer line.  Any recommendations?

I would use the big Scotty releases for any copper/ leadcore applications. The Amish outfitters seem to work best on inside waters when long lining mono.
