Owasco derby

Does anyone know what the largest fish caught during the owasco derby a couple weeks ago at southside marina. thanks

Fished the Derby both days, the largest fish was a Laker less than 9lbs, I think 8lbs 10oz. We caught good numbers of fish Saturday and we lucky enough to win 2nd Bow.

Tournament was a success with about 190 entries and around 30 in the kids division which is always good to see. Started taking my sons to these tournaments 23 years ago and we haven't missed one since he's been 4 years old. The South Shore Marina does a great job on this tourney and this year handed our trophies for all 1st place winners and many of the kids. The only down note here is there were no brown trout taken in the lake, those that placed took the fish from the tribs, this used to be one of the best brown lakes years ago, hopefully it can re-coup and offer those over 10lb browns again.

Yeah they once stocked those Seeforellen browns in the lake but I guess they didn't take....they get huge in Europe....

Wasn't a monster Brown shot with a shotgun years ago in that inlet by that marina? I'm talking maybe 20 years or more, Would've been a state record if it hadn't been shot with a 12 ga.
