Which video camera?

I'm tired of trolling my rigs sideways because of currents, I know that everyone has experienced this and a lot have without even knowing it...

 

After talking with a few guys at the docks I'm convinced that a video camera setup is the way to go... But which one? any input on the subject would be greatly appreciated.

I know people use the go pro with the pro troll housing, but as far as I know there isn't a monitor hookup that you can watch as your trolling.
