Older canon Mag 10A Weights

I was just given a pair of these downriggers. Do not have a book with them. Wondering what lb ball I can use? I have one 12lb ball and that is all at the moment

I have a pair on Bella, mag 10 HS they work great with 12 lb and are rated at 20lb

Mag 10a and mag 10hs are totally different machines. I would say 12 lb max on the mag 10a

I used them on my 10A 's for quite a while without any problems....but I wouldn't go any heavier either...

I used 12 lb balls on my old Mag 10A's, they worked fine.  Slower than a turtle, but they worked.  I wouldn't go any heavier or you'll probably start popping the breaker on the rigger.

I have one 10A still on my boat. It handles a 13# torpedo fine. It groans pretty good with my probe and 15# torpedo on it. I'd say 13# max for it if you want it to last any amount of time.
