Just installed a keelshield. Was wondering how the group felt about them hambys vs keelshield vs keelguard. I apologize if this topic was covered already, but I'm proud of my install, took me too long todo. But I feel better with it on.

What is it for?

You install it on your keel, it's supposed to protect the keel when loading the boat, also to protect it against floating debris and if you beach your boat. They claim in helps in performance such as turning and getting on plane faster, but most of all when loading your boat.

Just making fun, I never beach my boat+don't really care if it gets a minor scuff:)

Got one on the Parker works great! I hit a treated two by ten and it just dented it. If you have ever had to do any glass work on your keel you will put one on after. :).

Thx hooked up. I feel great with the keelshield. I wanted a hambys but Ballantine hasn't installed one lately. So I stuck with the keelshield. Wasn't fun installing but she stuck.
