Big Fish Friday - Salmon Slam - August 2nd

Current Teams List

BFF.jpg

We are going to have a Big Fish Friday prior to the Salmon Slam.  You do not need to participate in the Salmon Slam to participate in the Big Fish Friday, anyone is welcomed to join.  You can fish from any port you would like as long as you bring your fish to Arney's Marina by 5PM for weigh in.

The cost will be $50 per boat, as many people and rods per boat as you'd like (within legal and safe limits of course).  You may weigh in a single fish (salmon or trout) that was caught any time after 5AM Friday (must be in line at weigh in by 5PM).

Half of the money collected will go to supporting our wounded and disabled Veterans and Servicemen, the other half will be awarded to the biggest fish.  Similar to a 50/50 raffle, but a lot more fun

It should be a great excuse to take a Friday off, or maybe even half a day!  Have fun fishing, support our Veterans, and maybe win some money... doesn't get much better!

$50 payments will be due by 5PM July 31st.  Payments can be made by Paypal by sending $50 to [email protected] or can be sent by a check made out to:

Nicholas Allers

ATTN: BFF

Please make sure to include your team name on the payment.

If anyone has any questions, please let me know!

We have several boats signed up for BFF, come join the fun!  You can fish from any port and then just stop by Sodus to weigh in and grab a bite to eat for dinner.

Out if curiosity is this biggest fish period or categorized into salmon, steelhead, etc.

This year we will be doing first and second largest salmon, largest steelhead and largest brown.

We then give raffle tickets based on each team's largest fish weight and raffle off other prizes. So even if you don't catch a fish, you have a chance at a prize.

Plus there will be the usual goodie bags ;)

Lucas,

Yeah the BFF supports the Sodus Bay Salmon Slam the following day.  Half the money goes to the winner, while the other half will go to support the tournament for wounded and disabled Veterans and servicemen.

Also, in case everyone didn't see the post on the Salmon Slam thread in the Open Lake Discussion, many of us will be heading to the Normandy Inn for their fantastic prime rib dinner after the weigh in, around 7PM.  All are welcome whether you are fishing or not!

Sorry Fins, I posted the results up on my live report and on the Salmon Slam thread in the Open Lakes discussion.

Fishing was very good out of Sodus Friday with multiple boats bringing in Kings over 20lbs. We had to cut fishing short though due to some nasty thunderstorms!
