Fishing without riggers for browns

Hey guys,

I saw guys are catching browns in 15-30 fow outside of I-Bay. Is it possible to catch these guys without riggers?

You bet - 3 to 5 colors of leadcore will do the trick at those depths....

also some deep diving (just the 7ftish) stix or a lure with 1/4 to 1/2 oz  keel sinker will work..,or a coupls size 3 splitshot 5 or 6 ft up the line.  Right now with colder temps you can get away with this as surface (top 30 40 ft) warm up not so good...

He'll, I would just drop a line with a cannon ball on and lower it overboard the slip on a slider, go to go, red neck style

Without any wind had a hard time moving along today. Spotted a bunch of fish in 45fow they were down in the 20-25ft range outside of ship builders.
