Hi Folks,

I need some help with a reel question.  I bought a Penn 345GT2 that I want to set it up for 300 foot of copper.  I have a plastic piece that fits around the pole and attaches to the reel.  There are 2 screws, 2 small nuts and (2) 3/4" threaded studs.  I'm not sure it the screws connect to the studs or do I use the nuts with the screws.  It does not say in the instruction manual.

Thanks,

Erskin

The threaded studs go from inside the reel seat facing out. Then the clamp goes around rod handle and the nuts secure it to the threaded studs.

1.) Put the reel in the reel seat of your rod and secure (metal feet on the reel) using the plastic pieces on your rod seat

2.) Take the threaded bolts and insert from the reel side of the metal feet on the reel (the metal feet on the reel have square holes I think) and secure them using the two small stainless nuts so the threaded bolts don't fall out

3.) Attach the plastic black bottom piece on the outside of the rod and attach it to the threaded rods using the female threaded studs.

Good luck,

Chris
