Best salmon knife

[Beyond Upstate]

Looking for suggestions on the best knife for filleting salmon. Anyone have a good recommendation? I'm not enjoying using my regular 8" filet knife that I have always used for other species. Need a longer, stronger blade for straight cuts down the backbone eh?

Forschner cimitar : buy the sheath to go with it. Best knife for salmon I have used.

Could not agree more with r5dogs I have owned the Cimitar for 3 years blade is as good as the day I bought it.

Victorinox Forschner Cimeter is the best knife for slicing off each side in one swipe.  I own the 14" model and could not be more happy.  The heavy blade slides right through the ribs on the largest salmon.  Check ebay for the best deal on them.
