blown off sodus,headed to senaca

left to fish sodus in the dark sunday am, when I got there the waves were pounding over the breakwall so I headed down to senaca to give it a try. I launched at severne and crossed to the east side and trolled towards watkins. Just off a big point on the east side the diver rod starts ripping line and my prize was a brown trout just under 10lbs, a nice male with a hook jaw. It is my biggest fish other than ontario stuff. It was over 230 fow caught on a dipsy, spin-doc fly combo let out 178 ft. I will try to post a photo later.

we made the same move, except we actually tried it and headed out the channel at Sodus  about half mile before turning around and back to the launch. it was way to much chop with a 21 footer, launched in Geneva about 7:30
