How is the king and steelie fishing between The genesee river and sodus this time of year? Is it comparable to Wilson, Olcott, and the Oak? Any suggestions would be appreciated.

The big difference between Genny & Oak, etc is the distance you may have to go from shore.  Also around the Genny there are some very "interesting" currents.

It's been absolutely terrible.....worst ever.......in fact very few fish taken. I'd stick with the western ports for sure........    

 

In all honesty, it's great fishing - take a look at some of the reports and I think you'll see success.
