Hit the water with Tim and wild bill today at around 8:30. Started In front of the hotel on the south end and trolled north right up the gut. Right away we took hits on the 250 wire and the stacked rigger rod at 50'. Tim dropped both fish. 3rd hookup , and Tim finally boats a nice salmon. It was a steady pick for the rest of the day. We took salmon and rainbows on every rod. Many were your average cookiecutter fish that got let go to grow bigger. We kept a few that were hooked deep. Our best fish of the day hit a copper and green cheater. The rod bounced twice, then Pow! The fish was hooked and not real happy about it.... After a bit of excitement , a 6.5 lb. bow hits the deck! Again, the deep water was the ticket . Wire divers were 190 and 250. Chrome with green dot spinnies on both. Riggers were 80 and 65 with rods stacked 10' above. Carmel dolphin is HOT!!
