Does anyone know if furuno transducers are somewhat universal, or when shopping for new furuno equipment, should one factor in a new ducer as well? I see many of the new furuno ducers come with a 6 pin, 8 pin or no plug. What's the "no plug" deal ?

Thanks !!

Dear FT,

A large majority of the transducers for Furuno, SiTex Etc are made by Aimar on the west coast. Go to their website and you should be able to find your plug or transducer at a lower price too. I bought a Color 50 HZ Commercial transducer from them for $500. SiTex wanted $900! It even came with the color code (SITEX!) to wire the plug!
